Kimberly Roberts, Founder & Artist
Kim Roberts is the founder and creative force behind Bees and Wings. An entomology-based artist, beekeeper, and emerging taxidermist with over six years of experience, her work merges scientific curiosity with meticulous craftsmanship and a deep respect for the natural world.
Rooted in conservation and sustainability, her practice is driven by a lifelong fascination with the strange, the delicate, and the often overlooked. She transforms natural specimens into pieces that feel both reverent and unexpected.
Her work has been featured in Vanity Fair, Shoutout LA, and Voyage Magazine, and has appeared in music videos, editorial shoots, and artist campaigns.
Alongside building Bees and Wings, Kim spent a decade working in social services with adolescents in residential treatment centers. There, she led a horticulture therapy program where she taught residents gardening, insect and plant identification, and creating art from natural materials as a form of hands-on learning and creative expression.

Paloma received a biology degree from Occidental College, where she focused on ornithological research and bird specimen preparation at the Moore Lab of Zoology.
Kim met Paloma while taking her Bird Taxidermy 101 course, and their shared appreciation for the unconventional, fine craftsmanship, and natural history quickly evolved into an ongoing collaboration.
Select bird taxidermy pieces featured at Bees and Wings are created by Paloma, bringing museum-level technique and expertise into the collection.
Jessica Thoma, Artist Jess has been an intergral part of Bees and Wings since its early days, playing a key role in shaping the brand's visual identity and creative direction. She contributed as both an artist and creative lead helping to curate the brand's aesthetic. Her creative vision and eye for detail helped lay the foundation for Bees and Wings as it exists today.
Jess brings a background in ecopsychology, exploring the connection between horticulture and mental health. She now focuses on her career while continuing to contribute as a commissioned artist.
