Canary

$300.00

This shadow box highlights a domestic canary (Serinus canaria domestica) on a variety of hand-pressed flowers. The canary specimen has been prepared in a similar manner to traditional taxidermy and to museum standards, but for an artistic shadow box display. The flowers include wild pansy (Viola tricolor), sweet alyssum (Lobularia maritima), cheeseweed mallow (Malva parviflora), & blue palo verde (Parkinsonia florida). This display shows the more delicate colors that are found in nature, from soft pastel colors to delicate earth tones.
